YogArt WITH RAIE AND MONICA
In a world filled with the stress of daily life, finding moments of tranquillity and creativity can be incredibly calming. On July 1, we hosted an event that combined the mindfulness of yoga with the joy of crafting to create an unforgettable experience for children. The event aimed to introduce kids to the benefits of yoga and engage them in a fun bookmark-making activity using aluminium wire.
The day kicked off with a blissful yoga session led by Monica who masterfully guided the children through a series of gentle yoga poses, encouraging them to focus on their breath and embrace the present moment. The children were fascinated as they pretended to be various animals during "Animal Yoga," and they giggled joyfully while trying out challenging and enjoyable postures.
The session concluded with meditation that allowed the children to experience the peace within.
Following the yoga session, the children's creativity was sparked as they gathered around and made their own unique bookmarks using aluminium wire.
With excitement in the air, the children carefully moulded their bookmarks using a hammer and pliers.
Throughout the event, an emphasis was placed on the concept of mindfulness. The children were taught to be fully present in each activity, whether it was holding a yoga pose or moulding the wire into a heart-shaped bookmark. They learned that by being mindful, they could find joy in the simplest of tasks and appreciate their unique creations.
As the event came to a close, the children left with smiles on their faces, their hearts filled with a sense of peace, creativity, and accomplishment. Yoga and crafting with aluminum wire proved to be an ideal combination, allowing the children to experience both relaxation and excitement in a single day.
