Boris Pfeiffer was born in Berlin when the city was still divided by a wall. West Berlin, where he grew up, attracted seeking people like a magnet attracts iron splinters.

Berlin taught him to perceive the stories of others. He combined this gift with the narrative art inherent in him. His books are dreams of life beyond the experiences he made. They are dreams of a world that has not surrendered.
