Cordis Paldano is an Indian theatre artist. He studied acting at the Natiional Conservatory of Dramatic Art in Paris with a scholarship of excellence from the French Government.
Co- founder of a theatre company based in Pondicherry, he has performed in over 25 plays in India and France. He has extensive experience in translating from French to English.
His is the notable new voice in children’s literature. A theatre professional, who has also been trained In Terukuttu or Tamil street theatre, Cordis’ debut novel, The Dwarf, The Girl and the Holy Goat, is a wonderful combination of his writing and dramatic skills.
Like in street theatre, which combines drama with contemporary local socio- political happenings, the book is a clever combination of both an excellent sense of timing and drama. It has been called a ‘brave book’.
Cordis loves the circus and his friends – the trapeze artists – but he loves clowning the most! And even more than that, he loves to share his clowning tricks.
