Profile
In a family of doctors, lawyers, accountants and engineers, Meghaa is the odd woman out.
She chose to pursue humanities and work in children’s publishing. She is also a freelance writer and her articles on education and environment, among others, feature in various magazines, newspapers and other portals.
After eight long years of working in the field of children’s publishing and writing over 100 feature stories, Meghaa finally decided to start writing for children. She made her debut with ‘A Home of Our Own’ and hopes to write many more books in the years to come. She is inspired in her writings by the innocence and indomitable spirit of childhood that can discover hope and joy, even in the bleakest of moments.
Apart from her picture book, she has also compiled ‘The Green Guide to Environmental Courses and Careers’ for students in India, a work that was endorsed by none other than M.S. Swaminathan, the eminent geneticist and administrator. She has also contributed to the second edition of ‘Make the Most of your Time on Earth - 1000 Ultimate Travel Experiences.’
