Wilbur the pig's life has already been saved by Fern, but when he is sold to her uncle, he realises his life is in even more danger.
Enter Charlotte A. Cavatica, a beautiful large grey spider. Charlotte is determined to keep Wilbur from the chopping block, and comes up with an ingenious way to do just that.
Charlotte's Web is a classic tale of friendship, bravery and some animal magic.
E. B. White, the author of such beloved children's classics as Charlotte's Web, Stuart Little, and The Trumpet of the Swan, was born in Mount Vernon, New York. He graduated from Cornell University in 1921 and, five or six years later, joined the staff of The New Yorker magazine. E.B. White authored over seventeen books of prose and poetry and was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Letters in 1973. In addition to writing children's books, E. B. White also wrote books for adults, as well as writing poems and essays, and drawing sketches for The New Yorker magazine.
Garth Williams writes and illustrates a sweet, simple book about all the things important to Baby: his bowl, his spoon, a bird singing outside the window, and of course, Teddy Bear! Our youngest readers will love poring over Williams’s cozy, large-scale pictures.
